Join Apple engineers to learn iOS development in Swift then compete in a 5 day code challenge at RIT.  If you've never developed for iOS before, sign up for the Introduction to iOS Development Workshop (signup link coming soon).  Practice what you've learned by working on a team to make an app throughout the rest of the week where Apple engineers will be on-site to help you if you get stuck.

If you're already a pro or just want to hone your skills, skip the workshop and participate in the rest of the challenge.

At the end of the week, all teams will present their projects in the Ingle Auditorium on Monday night, February 9th.

This is also an awesome opportunity for you to add a project to your resume and then get your resume reviewed by an Apple recruiter.  The top team will win a MacBook Air for each member of the team.

The RIT iOS App Challenge is presented by CodeRIT, the Society of Software Engineers, and the Computer Science Community at RIT with sponsorship from Apple.

Eligibility

Registration is restricted to currently enrolled (as of January 26, 2015) students of the Rochester Institute of Technology.  Students from other area 4-year universities may be allowed to participate; e-mail challenge@apple.com for details.

Requirements

Submit a project directory, including a working .xcodeproj with all supporting files, zipped up, to ChallengePost with your submission before the deadline.  A logo or icon representing your app is also required as part of the submission.  Your app will be compiled on our computers and pre-installed on either an iPod touch or iPad for the final awards ceremony.  Make sure to indicate in the "Built With" field which device you would like to use.
